As much as Tiger didn't win, he did come in second for the second year in a row. The Masters pretty much demands perfection these days. In essence, it wears down Tiger the way regular tournaments wear down everybody else. 4 days of golf requires building momentum, and Tiger's putting just didn't let that happen. As much as I want to see him break Nicklaus' major record, I am glad to see he'll be earning it by giving it his all over a career. If he wasn't even trying, it wouldn't be so amazing to be able to watch unfold.
Kudos to Trevor - a fine, previously underrated golfer. That south african hit some freaking amazing shots.
Now we get to watch the rest of the majors slip by. Of course the next will be the "fifth major" - the players.
